Having been discontinued back in 2011, it shouldn’t come as a shock that the Cisco VPN client isn’t supported by Windows 10. In fact, you would be lucky to get it working with Windows 8.1 since. Cisco HyperFlex API Token Manager provides the ability to automate the creation, validation and renewal of HyperFlex API tokens. Basic administration of HyperFlex API tokens is also available with easy to use Python functions that simplify obtaining, refreshing, revoking, and validating tokens.

Cisco VPN Client Version 5.0.07.0440 Installation on Windows 10

  1. Go to Cisco DNE Support page, and at mid-way through the page under “ Other DNE Problems ” you will find the download link to 32-bit and 64-bit version of DNE installation file. Download the file and install it on your Windows 10 computer. Install Cisco VPN Client again.
  2. Citrix Deterministic Network Enhancer (DNE) is not a virus or a rootkit (although some anti-rootkit products may mistakenly flag it). Citrix supplies software to a number of software and hardware companies. When they install their products on your systems, they will often contain DNE.

Preparation:

  1. First uninstall the Cisco VPN Client
  2. Reboot the Computer

Go here:

Download these Files:

Cisco dneupdate
  1. Reboot the machine
  2. Run winfix
  3. Reboot the machine
  4. Run dneupdate64
  5. Reboot the machine

Reinstall the VPN client using the .MSI file and not the .EXE file. This will bypass Windows 10 checking the compatibility. Next just make the registry edits.
In WindowsWindows 10, a common problem with the Cisco VPN client has been an inability to enable the adapter. That is easily resolved within regedit.exe by editing the following string:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesCVirtADisplayName

You will see it have some junk along the lines of:@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows

DnetCisco Dne

Cisco2911 K9 End Of Life

Just remove the first part of that so the string is only
Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows

I’d done it several times, so no problem.
